- a cookie was the only thing that helped him leave the make up alone
- the little scarecrow sings!
- he also sits stoically and suddenly looks more like Raggedy Andy (do you see it?)
- he definitely preferred the hood down
- see? told ya
- note the hood is down and the make up is almost all gone…that’s how the little scarecrow ACTUALLY looked for Halloween
We had a great time last night! A local church did “Trunk or Treat” where people from the church pulled their cars into a circle in the parking lot and the kids trick or treated there out of people’s cars…(GREAT idea by the way! no worries about the candy, the walk was short (& it was cold here), and there were no scary costumes- I think our whole little town was there too. A great way for the church to be in the community) They also had lots of blow up slides and trampolines inside…and a petting zoo. Cohen ran up to a little goat and hopped right on to everyone’s surprise. I think he thought it was a dog (go figure) – because, of course, in our world dogs can be ridden. He wanted to get on the blow up toys but he was too little, so we let him sit in the window of one blow up castle where he could watch the kids jumping inside and feel the vibrations- oh to be a BIG kid!!! The highlight of the night was when we caught Co no longer holding his candy bag but sucking on a Reese’s Cup right through the wrapper! He did get some chocolate out… boy after my own heart:)
If you have posted pics of your kiddies in costume, respond and I will make a whole linky list of the cuteness for all to see!

And wow what a great idea for trick or treating. Are you guys doing anything tonight?
Co is adorable!!!!! Love those pics
Too cute!!! I LOVE the pictures.
I’ve never heard of Trunk or Treat but I like it! What a smart way for the church to be IN the community.
And, what a cute kid! I’ll post pictures after tonight. I’ll be thinking of you (and being jealous) when we’re going door to door (woe to long sidewalks) instead of car to car.

Kelly
He looks so cute! And I had never even heard of “Trunk or Treat” until you wrote about it – then I saw signs for it everywhere! Who knew!?
We didn’t take Owen out, but we did dress him up as the cutest pumpkin you ever did see!
We hit up a few local churches for their harvest festivals.
I got to eat cotton candy.
Bean was just thrilled to pieces that she got candy for pretty much doing nothing but shooting smiles at everyone. (I’m not sad about the candy).
Our girls were chickens. I have to redress them up for pictures because I completely didn’t get them together, (or Bean alone)… they were super cute though.
Um, and Co? He’s ADORABLE! How do you say no to that cuteness at all?
A lot of churches do trunk or treating here in Texas. We took the kids to a festival at church last night and I have some pics up at my blog. Cute scarecrow costume on Cohen!
Take care,
Julie
