…yeah, cause that’s what I did. You know how when you get email or a blog and you type in your password of choice, it gives you that meter that shows you the strength of the password? Yeah? Well, listen to the strength meter friends. I woke up a couple of weeks ago and all- yes ALL-of my passwords had been changed… and oh! one other tip, don’t have the same password for everything. It makes it so much easier for someone to throw your online world into chaos.
Anyway, after faxing in my identification and filling out paperwork, I am now back into my blog/emails/facebook/twitter. And now the passwords (yes, they each have their own now) are like strong, like OLYMPIC STRONG.
So I have like literally a thousand items to read in my google reader and a lot of catching up to do, so instead of writing a super long post, I thought I’d just let you know a few highlights of the last couple of weeks:
-I bought a house! We should be closing quite soon and I am ecstatic! After looking at homes for several months, the very first house I had put an offer on came back on the market. The person who had gotten to the bid on the house had to back out only a few days before it was to close so the bank was ready to sell. I ended up purchasing the house for almost $14,000 less than my original bid! Such a blessing!!! There is a bit of work to do on the house… some new wiring and gutting and windows and de-wallpapering galore. And the yard? Its a jungle. Which, I had to remind myself several times yesterday as I hacked through the yard in the 98 degree heat, I prefer to a bare yard with nothing to work with. I will post the before and after pics once there are after pics to post. They are going to be ridiculous! Right now there is pink tile and countertops in the kitchen…so the change, I promise, is going to be drastic!
-Cohen is growing like a weed and talking SO MUCH. He’s recently perfected his ‘cheesy grin’ as of late so be expecting to see photos/video of that!
-We are preparing for vacay in Texas here within in the week…some seriously good family time. Cannot wait!
Now, how are you all?!??! I’ve missed you! Cannot tell you how glad I am the hacker changed everything to the same password and didn’t post something awful posing as me… whew!

So glad you’re back and all things crazy worked out good! The house news is incredible! That is a work of God right there, girl and I know you know it! Can’t wait to see pics of the progress. Love, Amy
So glad to hear from you Kate! Very happy about the house for you, except I don’t do remodel well, but I am happy for those with that creative gene that I seem to lack.
Strange that some people don’t have anything better to do with their time than to mess with other people’s lives and things. But a good lesson learned I suppose on the password deal.
And I understand the whole growing like a weed thing. My baby (youngest of my children) is 5 today. He will start school in the fall. I can barely type that without my mouth falling open in amazement. They are so precious though.
Blessings to you!
are you going to make it to the beach in Tejas, because that’s where we are!!
You should visit!!
Congrats on the house! That’s so exciting! Can’t wait to see the pictures. We’re STILL looking…*sigh*
Good to know info on the password situation. I have 2 different passwords that I use for EVERYTHING :\ and mine usually get the “medium” strength signal. Maybe I should consider changing that!
Glad you’re back, my friend!
Congrats on your house! God is so good!
Love the cheese smile from Co!
Glad to see you back, Kate! (: I was just thinking about you and wondering how things were going. Glad to hear you got the house! That will be great for you and Co. Looking forward to seeing more of your blogs & “tweets” again. (:
Nice to hear from you again! Congrats on the house!
We just recently bought a 100 year old farm house (only in style, it’s not in the country, although, I’m sure it used to be : ) It too, needs a ton of work! Pretty much every one thought we were crazy to buy something that needs so much work, but we love old house and see such potential! We got it for a great deal and were so excited for more space. Our last house was 750 sq. ft. With 2 kiddos, and another on the way, it was getting pretty tight! We now have 1,900 sq ft , and the garage is the size of our old house…ha! God opened so many doors to bless us with this home.
I can’t wait to see pictures on your new house, and what you do with it!
Zoiks! Glad it is all fixed….I’ve missed you!
Was wondering were you went…
congrats on the house.
Good to have you back online…
P.S. enjoy your vacation

Congrats on the house, my friend! So exciting! Just today I was daydreaming about the day my hubby and I and our kids can have a house of our own, but we are thankful for our apartment for the time being.
Super glad the hacker stopped at changing your passwords – that definitely would have been horrible if they posed as you and did something nasty!
Wow big congrats about the house!! super cool
So this is the one that had previously fallen thru right? The one that you posted pics of on FB awhile back? Hope the move goes well
Glad everything is all fixed re: the hacker! some people just have nothing better to do than to create chaos online :/
I’m still currently job hunting for ‘proper work’ which in this job climate is challenging, frustrating (new grads don’t really get much of a look in!) and pretty much just an all round rollercoaster ride. So much so that I almost expect to get the rejection emails to say I haven’t been shortlisted for the interview stage.
But, I am hanging in there and trying to stay positive and fully rely on God & His timing for which direction He wants my life to go. I’ve definitely been learning a lot through this season. And God has been so cool in the way He’s encouraged me thru His Word of course but also through kind encouraging words from friends at church… I feel so humbled to have my church family & others praying for me re: job situation. A 10 yr old girl I know was staying at our place one afternoon last week and she left me the sweetest bit of encouragement – she’d left the lyrics to a song she’d written which was called… Don’t Quit
Anyway I better stop rambling.. I’m off to see the musical Cats tonight!

Glad you’re back! So sorry about the password mess. I can only imagine. I need to find some new passwords because I too have the same password for EVERYTHING! Maybe I’ll go do that like…right now. Congrats on the house! How fun! Can’t wait to see the pictures.
That’s crazy, dude. What was the point of breaking into your facebook? I don’t get it. Oh, well. Glad you’re back!
