Well, sister Beth, sister-in-law Beck and I are attempting to cook our first turkey… Beck was the only one brave enough to stick her hand inside and get out the giblets (we had to wiki that to even know what it was! *grin*) Its been cooking for a few hours now and we’ve only had one fire. So far, so good.
Will write more later… just wanted to wish you all a wonderful, happy, thankful day. Enjoy your family and eat… responsibly joyfully.
How funny! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Take care,
Julie
P.S. We had a debate earlier about whether or not our dog could have any of the giblets for a treat! We came to the consensus that we would pass. My husband said there’s something dogs can’t eat and even tho he thought it was the liver, we decided to be safe!
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you have an awesome time with family! 🙂 Did you get the festivities on camera?
Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving with your family and friends
please let us know how the turkey turned out. I want to know
because I was given on but will do that project another. I will need tips please.
I have never cooked on before.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and all your readers!
I’m not cooking, DH usually does, but he’s not either this year – we were suppose to go to a friends but my kids got sick. So we are having leftover Lasagna and the cranberry salad and cheesecake we were gonna bring. 😉
Happy Thanksgiving Kate!!!!
My sister and I grossed out over the giblets too. My dad has to handle that. But he always does the turkey anyways. I think its cool that you and your sis and sister in law are cooking the dinner. Dad does most of ours, mom does the cranberries, Jenna does the potatoes and greenbeans and I am just eating. I am that lucky.
Be blessed on this thanksgiving day!
happy turkey day to you too!! hope your turkey turns out great… or at least if it doesn’t that no one else seems to notice!!!
sounds like an adventure! heheh. happy THANKSgiving to you too!
haha… that’s great!
Happy THanksgiving, Kate!
We definitely didn’t eat responsibly. I don’t think that will happen til the leftovers are gone. (I’m ok with that… best food of the year 🙂
Hugs!
Happy Thanksgiving! We ate most joyfully. I didn’t have to cook and the food was awesome at the Champagne Thanksgiving Buffet that my husband took us to.
Hope your turkey turned out okay. I learned early on, not to use the disposable aluminum turkey roasters-they like to collapse and spill drippings on the heating element and flame. I don’t like the flames. Hope you had enough for leftovers!
Gobble, gobble.
How fun! Hope everything turned out ok!
Happy Thanksgiving, hon.
I don’t know if you do these or not, but I nominated you on my blog. Stop over when you get a minute!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
