So I loaded Cohen up… kept his pj’s under his jeans and shirt and coat and hat and boots (and his 12 month clothes still fit! what a little bean he is) and we went to run some errands while we could still dig out. We went to the post office first and were the only ones out (go figure) and then we went to the grocery store (definitely not the only ones there). Besides some basic groceries, I picked up the Rug Doctor so I could clean my carpets. I mean if you are going to get stuck inside, why not shampoo the rug?
Unfortunately, it spewed out some puddles on the floor and then wouldn’t spray the water like it was supposed to. And unfortunately (for me) I had already cleared the room and prepared to shampoo…
(the cleared living room)
(the kitchen piled up with everything from the living room)
(the faulty Rug Doctor that had to be sequestered in Co’s room after he turned it on unintentionally and scared himself into tears)
And even more unfortunate that it didn’t work and that I had already cleared the room, was that in the hours between all of that and when I rented it, my car got buried in wet snow like this:
Co’s little motorized car (that never worked, it was free at a garage sale and he doesn’t care that it doesn’t work because he can CLIMB on/in it- so don’t be concerned about the snow hurting it) was covered too and he made sure I got a pic of it too… here you go, buddy..
So I determined it wasn’t safe to go back and return the faulty machine for a working one. Oh well, maybe the manager will give me a break tomorrow. Because I have faith we will get out by tomorrow!
Anyone else getting this crazy snow?
