I don’t think it should still be called a ‘weekend’ if you are awake 30-some hours straight. Just a thought.
Its a long boring story so I won’t explain…other than this: sick child (could this be the 3rd ear infection since January? I think so) who slept 2 hours last night; 13 hours of work on Saturday= 10 hours on my feet, talking; shipped 8 puppies this morning and left the house at 3a having not slept since Saturday morning at 4a.
I was back at mom’s house this morning at 8a. We were sipping coffee (yeah, I know, what was I thinking?) and sitting on the couch when we heard the three little boys (Joe age 7, Josh age 5, and Cohen almost 2) beginning a worship session in their playroom. Josh was strumming the guitar and singing ‘like Shane’ (aka very loud and high) and Joe was bringing the base line and Cohen was mostly clapping and squealing. We quit talking and giggled as we listened to the three of them, singing their little hearts out…so far, none of them can hold a tune in a bucket, so it was fairly amusing. Josh has decided he’s going to be a singer/songwriter and I fear my parents will someday have to have a very honest conversation about his gifts some day or he’ll be that kid on American Idol – know what I mean?
Anyway, Josh was composing the songs as they went along and suddenly we heard this line, which was so sweet and so hilarious all at once:
“God is a-DORRRR-able/ Yes He is so DORRR-able/I love Him/ He is a-DORR-able”
God is adorable.
Someone call Chris Tomlin. I think we’ve got the next great worship song in the making, right here in little old Logan County, Ohio.
“We exhaust thee/ We exhaust thee/ We exhaust thee/ O God”
Oh, I bet we do.
